SUNBUILD TOP END GRAN FONDO

ABOUT THE 2023 SUNBUILD TOP END GRAN FONDO COURSES

The 2023 145km Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo course will take in 145km of familiar roads including the famous loop of the Territory Wildlife Park! Very similar to the 2023 course with a reroute through Palmerston on the return leg, this year’s 145km route can be a personal challenge to complete the distance, or for those returning an opportunity to improve on last year’s time!

The 2023 110km Inpex Top End Tonne course will visit the Territory Wildlife Park, then return through Palmerston following the same new return leg that the 145km Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo will take this year. At just over a century (100km ride), this is a great option for those who want to push themselves to ride 100km in one go, or for the regular Tonne rider, a great chance to see how you stack up against your previous attempts in 2023!

The 2023 52km Darwin Family Law  Top End Half Fondo course starts and ends identically to the longer rides, and instead of heading out on Channel Island Rd will this year take a left at Chung Wah Tce and return via the back of Palmerston. This year the route will not include a loop of the Charles Darwin National Park. Just a hair over a half-century, the 52km option is a perfect choice for the regular rider wanting to have a great morning out on the bike with some friends, or for someone who perhaps doesn’t consider themselves a “cyclist” but wants the challenge of a couple hours’ solid riding.

More Information

The 2023 22km NTRS Top End Short Fondo course will look very familiar to those who took part in the 25km event last year, without the loop inside Charles Darwin National Park. A great option for those who don't ride regularly, are just getting back into riding, or only ever ride a short distance – why not try a 22km ride with other like-minded cyclists for a Sunday morning!

More Information

Last year’s 3km and 9km options have been replaced with a Family Ride,to be held on a closed course around the Start/Finish Area at Fort Hill Parkland. Aimed at beginner skill levels and open to all ages, the Family Ride provides a free opportunity to get involved with the Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo without having to commit to a 22km ride option with a large group. The 1km course will be open for 1 hour, with a controlled number of participants on course at once to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The first 200 entrants to sign up will receive a 2023 TEGF Bag and Drink Bottle to take home and remember the day by!
